Compare Prices on Valor DD-858W
I drive a 04 Chevy Silverado with Double-Din opening and got the Valor DD-858W which fit perfectly in dwelling. I treasure the unit--it's the only one I could glean that had slots for SD memory cards (2 of them--I exercise 1 for pictures and 1 for video/pics) and a USB port! Plus, it comes with Bluetooth (though the mic could be better) and a true IPOD connector (so you don't have to consume the USB port and can assign it for other devices) whereas the other ones I looked at charged for these options. It's a gigantic value for the imprint and functionality. Oh yeah it plays CD/DVDs too and you can hook up a rear thought camera. The overall invent is tiring, and simple and it sounds really proper impartial powering the stock speakers. I like Valor. I never heard of them before and took a chance but I like it and would by it again.
Price has gone up since I bought it, but it is serene an suitable deal considering a ragged AM/FM/CD will race almost as noteworthy in the double-din format (I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma) . Have seen complaints about the explain being unlit, but this is not the case (there is a Shaded button on the unit and it cycles through the brightness levels) . Have also seen complaints about needing the remote control to access distinct functions - also not correct. All the functions, including setup are available on the touch camouflage. There is apparently a 2GB limit to the SD cards (I haven't tested this with larger cards since 2GB cards are dirt cheap and possess gigantic amounts of music) and the unit takes two of them plus has a USB port and an ipod connection. The only inconvenient thing is that the Bluetooth capability uses a microphone on a wire instead of having it built into the unit but that actually makes sense since most double-din units are located coarse on the dashboard. Bluetooth quality is suited. DVD player plays DivX and XviD videos. Overall terrific value.
I purchased this mainly for the BLUETOOTH and the Stamp. After installing
it, I discovered my Blackberry Model 8330 would not sync up. I called the
CXXXXXXXX Advisor, and they shipped me a novel unit. This unique unit too
did not workl The whole rado would lock up when I tried to pair up my
phone. After countless E-Mails to VALOR it was decided that THEIR
Radio was not compatiable with Blackberry/PDA Phones. I sent an E-
Mail to Verizon, and they wrote the following:
*** The compatibility is unfortunately dependant on the Bluetooth radio.
Based on the response from valor it doesn't spy ample. If they aren't using
a chipset that works with most pda's I dislike to say it, but I would stare
finding another radio and requesting a refund for the existing one.

Now, The BLACKBERRY is the most celebrated PDA phone in the world. Why
would VALOR beget a product NOT compatiable. I should of bought the
PIONEEER model that was puchased by my co-worker. HIS BlackBerry
works handsome.
Cxxxxxxxx should R&D all products before putting them up for sale. I
would oif NEVER purchased this VALOR has I known this.
Very depressed.....
